Being a student can be hard, especially in high school. There are so many things to worry about in school, yet there always seems to be more piling on each day. Just when you think you can't possibly have anything more to stress about, another problem comes crawling around the corner.
So, how can you really manage a jam-packed academic life, while trying to stay social with friends and build your future? There is a way. It seems impossible at times, but with enough help, it can surely be done.
We'll explore the basics, from managing actual schoolwork, as well as your personal life.
How many things am I actually juggling?
Well, let's start off with a list. Organizing your thoughts and tasks is a great way of dealing with assignments.
Homework
Sports/extracurriculars
Social circle/Friends
Family
College (if you're considering it)
Romantic relationships
Volunteer work
Jobs
Don't freak out. It's all achievable. The key is to be organized, and calm, and don't stress out about it. Here are some tips for the most important ones on this list.

Homework
Doing homework is a matter of the mind. You need to face the fact that you're going to have to do a lot of it, which means missing out on more fun things you have going on. You may have to give up your old days of aimlessly watching your favorite shows for hours on end. But, if you're responsible enough, you may have more free time on your hands than you thought.
First things first, try and do your work in classes that you have "quiet time" or "free time" in. When your teacher allows you to do any work you have, do it. Don't waste time looking at your devices or talking to friends (though that may be more fun). Instead, do your work so that later in the day you'll open up some more free time.
Also, be responsible and organized. Don't procrastinate your work, and try not to lose any important papers you have either.

Sports
If you're involved in any sport and you're finding it hard to balance school, this section is for you. Coming home from practice and having a clear schedule for your night is all one can wish for. But, that's not often the case. Read the paragraphs above for how to make sure you're not too stressed with homework after practice.
The topic of how to perform better during practice, games, competitions, etc., is a hard one. The main thing to remember is to be in the moment. Don't stress about other things in your life; use this time as an escape from reality. Truly focus on what you're doing and/or how to do better. Don't let anyone bring your confidence down, and remember to always try your best, because that's really all you can do.

Friends
No matter what, your friends should always be there for you. But sometimes, that's not what you're worried about. If you feel like you aren't spending enough time with them, then try to incorporate them into small parts of your life.
For reference, when you have a few minutes; you can call them. Maybe your practice was canceled, then you can ask them to hang out.
If you're worried about them not liking you, or not being popular enough, then reassure yourself. You are enough! In the long run, popularity doesn't matter, and your friends are YOUR friends for a reason.
Conclusion
In conclusion, being a high schooler is attainable, and so are all your dreams.
Today, we provided some simple tips to make your life as a student easier. We hope that this helped kickstart your journey of becoming the most zen person in your school, and learning how to balance your packed schedule.
